I am able to overcome
all things in this world
when I abide
in Jesus and He abides in me.
And He who sits
on the throne said, “Behold I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write,
for these words are faithful and true.” Then He said to me, “It is done, I am
the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who
thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
It is good to be me!
I am becoming who my God created me to be.
Peter 4:7-11 (NLT)
The end of the
world is coming soon. Therefore, be clear-minded and self-controlled so that
you earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to
show a deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a placed to stay.
God has given
gifts to each of you from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them
well so that God’s generosity can flow through you.
I have a future that
is no longer determined
by the poor choices of my past.
For I know the
plans I have for you, says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to
give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If
you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. I will be found
by you,” says the LORD.
What an awesome promise from our
God. Even though He was talking to the people of Israel in captivity in Babylon
we can accept that God’s Word is true and applies to us today.
God knows exactly
where I am at with Him.
He wants me to bereal
and honest with Him.
Today is a brand new day.
There is an
appointed time for everything.
And there is a time for every event under
A time to give
birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot
what is planted.
God will never ask more of me than I have to give
nor will He ask me to
do more than I can do.
Peter 1:3-4 (NLT)
As we know Jesus
better, His divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life.
He has called us to receive His own glory and goodness! And by that same mighty
power, He has given us all of His rich and wonderful promises. He has promised
you that you will escape the decadence all around you caused by evil desires
and that you will share in His divine nature.
I will reap what I
sow and more. This is God’s truth for me.
Do not throw
away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the
great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will
continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all He has promised.
And so dear
brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of
the blood of Jesus. This is the new life-giving way that Christ has opened up
for us through the sacred curtain, by means of His death for us.
Faith and deeds are
just as the body without a soul is dead.
It was by faith
that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“suddenly he disappeared
because God took him.” But before he was taken up, he was approved as pleasing
to God. So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith.
How often have we turned this verse
around so that we believe our works become the criteria for determining our
faith? When we have a works based faith for getting into heaven this is the
standard we use to measure ourselves and others.
I am an obedient
chosen and adopted child of the Living God.
living in victory; God’s way not my way.
John 5:1-5 (NLT)
believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God. And everyone who loves the
Father loves His children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God
and obey His commandments. Loving God means keeping His commandments, and
really, that isn’t difficult.
For every child
of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give us victory. And the
ones who win this battle against the world are the ones who believe that Jesus
is the Son of God.
I am the influence in

are the salt of the earth. But what good is it if the salt has lost its flavor?
Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as
are the light of the world—like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for
all to see. Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand
and let it shine for all. In the same way, let your deeds shine out for all to
see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
God is my defender.
am healed in my heart,
in my mind and
in my body.
Peter 2:20-25 (NASB)
For what credit
is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience?
But if when you do what is right and suffer for it, yet you patiently endure
it, this finds favor with God.
For you have
been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving an
example for you to follow in His steps,
committed no sin,
