A thought to consider for today.

How do we return to God and live our life in a way that reflects Jesus as our true Lord and Savior?

 2 Peter 1:3, 4
“As we know Jesus better, His divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life. He has called us to receive His own glory and goodness. And by that same power, He has given us all of His riches and promises. He has promised that you will escape the decadence all around you caused by evil desires and that you will share in His divine nature.”

This is a statement about living in the kingdom of God here and now not about living a life with great ethics and high morals. When we see ourself as a true son or daughter of the Living God we begin to act like one. We know what a son looks like because of the testament of God reaching out to man throughout the Holy Bible.

An acronym for these instructions is B.basic I.instructions B.before L.leaving E.earth. As the story unfolds we have God, the Son, in Jesus coming to earth as fully God and fully man to show us in person how to walk out this relationship between a man and his God.

This is where Christianity separates itself from every other religion in the world, that we can actually know God in person not just know about Him and His nature. It is God's will for our life that we know Him in a personal way and that He knows us through the intimacy of a relationship.
