Genesis 22:1-14 is the account of Abraham being tested with Issac. This is where God credited Abraham's faith as righteousness. The depth of our faith is presented in these 6 actions of seeing, speaking, acting, standing, rejoicing and receiving, all working together.
When all of these components to our faith are present it can be said that our faith has integrity as a living faith. When one or more of these components is missing, our faith can be said to be lacking in integrity. Even though our faith can still function this way, it is not as effective as it has the potential to be.
When we look at our own lives, how would you answer these questions:
1) What kind of life am I living? or Do my choices reflect what I say I believe?
2) What kind of impact am I having? or What affect do my choices have on the people around me?
3) Does the way I see myself, the understanding of who I am as God's child, seem to be gaining in clarity?
4) Do I really know the person of God or do I just know about Him? or
How would I describe my relationship with God to someone I don't know?
It would be interesting to write these answers out and in a year go back and answer them again. This is a great way to actually see your faith as a living part of who you are.
