Our attitude is a choice that has everything to do with us individually and absolutely nothing to do with our circumstances. We are the salt and a light in the darkness.
Our thought life has everything to do with our ability to receive and reflect the goodness of God. When we are bound up in what "we can't do" we are rejecting the power of God in our life. When we declare what "God in us can do" we are operating in His power not our own strength. We are moving from glory to glory, growing and transforming into the image of our One, True, Faithful, Trustworthy King.
Let us practice changing our negative thoughts into a positive outlook, giving others the benefit of the doubt and give each other credit for being faithful. This includes how we see ourself and talk to ourself as well. Let us move out of the box in our mind of who we have been and move forward into the goodness of our God relying on the Holy Spirit to do for us what we cannot do for ourself.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Father God, may we accept that today and every day are all we need it to be. May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in our thoughts, rule in our dreams tonight, and conquer all our fears. May we be open and willing to receive Your unmerited favor as You manifest Yourself today in ways we have never experienced. May we grow in our willingness to trust You completely.
May our joys be overflowing, our dreams be of living life abundantly, Your way and our prayers be answered. I pray that faith enters a new height for each of us; I pray that our territory is enlarged. I pray for healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy and an undying love for God. May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus. Amen
