The Nature of Human Love-2

Galatians 5:19-21
What human nature does is quite plain. It shows itself in immoral, filthy, and indecent actions; in worship of idols and witchcraft. People become enemies and they fight; they become jealous, angry, and ambitious. They separate into parties and groups; they are envious, get drunk, have orgies and do other things like this. I warn you now as I have before: those who do these things will not possess the Kingdom of God.

I Did It My Way

Can’t you just hear Frank Sinatra’s beautiful voice proclaiming “I did it my
way”? What a great song! For so many, it represented a message of being
confident in yourself. A message of trusting in your way. That’s the message
of the world, don’t you think? Aren’t we taught to be strong? Be true to
yourself. Blaze your own trail. Be your own person.

When we join a Kairos Team, we receive a beautiful gift. It’s really a gift from
God! We get the chance to step aside from the “World” and to practice a new
way of life. We get to practice living the sacrificial life. A life lived not for me, my
way, but a life lived for His glory, His way!

Christ talked about getting rid of “our” stuff so we could follow Him. We give
up “our” way to go “His “ way. We empty ourselves of “our” focus, and
breathe in the newness of life in the Holy Spirit. What “I” want is not so
important anymore – give it up. Don’t let “Me” get in the way of God
working through His empty vessel.

Let us learn a new song. A song of praise for “God’s Way.”

I did it His way!

Lord, let me trust in You completely as I empty myself of me!

What is God saying to me through this Word?

When have I given up my will and way for God's will, Christ’s way?

Prayer Focus: Lift up people who who don't think they have the courage to be who God says they are; people controlled by their fears, the ones in bondage to lies they think are true; the ones who only seek their way because they don't trust enough to let go of what they think they know.

May we all grow in knowledge with understanding of the victory we have been given through Jesus, for how to live life to the fullest, God's way.

May the veil be torn away that prevents us from accepting God's truth for us; that we can live in the kingdom of God on earth today.

We don't have to die a physical death for this to be true. We "only" have to die to self, one day at a time, sometimes moment by moment as God's grace shows us the way.

May the Holy Spirit show us what we need and give us what we need for God's truth for us, His children, to become our truth that we know and live by.

Thank you for a very inspirational blog this makes me realize that I need to do well and right to be able to be in the kingdom of god. I know that sometimes I am being stubborn, easily annoyed and hard headed when my parents have something to tell me or when they command me at things I need to do, I did not realize that they just do it because they want me to become matured and became a better person.
