Day 35

I will reap what I sow and more. This is God’s truth for me.

Hebrews 10:35-36 (NLT)
Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all He has promised.

Hebrews 10:19-25 (NLT)
And so dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. This is the new life-giving way that Christ has opened up for us through the sacred curtain, by means of His death for us.

And since we have a High Priest who rules over God’s people, let us go right into the presence of God with true hearts fully trusting Him; for our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood making us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Think of ways to encourage one to another with genuine acts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near.

We are privileged as God’s children for we not only get to reap what we sow in our life and the lives of others; we get to reap what God has sown for us. When we can begin to recognize that life is not about judgment, rather it is about blessing, both giving them and receiving them. Life becomes an expression held within the healthy exercise of giving and receiving; this is the enjoyment of life as a whole and complete person.

When our view of life can be formed in understanding we are a treasure and a blessing, by design, we no longer have to carry the ledger with our balance sheet. Is our ledger full of red or are we in the black? When we live life to the fullest, giving our utmost for His highest we are no longer concerned about keeping score. God is taking care of that for us and we trust Him to provide, we cannot out give God.
As we grow in our recognition of being loved and being able to love others, we begin to realize that godly love is always about giving, never receiving. When we allow others to love us, we are not blocking their blessing as a giver. We now have the security to receive the abundance of blessings our God, our Creator, our Father and even our Best Friend wants us to have. We are not sending them back because we don’t feel worthy or deserving of His perfect love gifts for us.

Today’s Reflection

What is the Holy Spirit saying to me…?

How does today’s message apply to my life?…my beliefs?

"We reap what we sow." This saying may be a bit cliche to some people. But it is more than a saying. We can use it to guide us on how to conduct ourselves. It basically means your present actions have consequences in the future. So if you choose to do good deeds, except positive consequences. If you do the reverse, your past actions will have negative consequences. This saying teaches us to be kind to people and only spread positivity. If all people do this the world will be the better for it.
