It is good to be me! I am becoming who my God created me to be. 1
Peter 4:7-11 (NLT)
The end of the
world is coming soon. Therefore, be clear-minded and self-controlled so that
you earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to
show a deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a placed to stay. God has given
gifts to each of you from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them
well so that God’s generosity can flow through you. Are you called to be a
speaker? Then speak as though God himself is speaking through you. Are you
called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God
supplies. Then God will be given glory in everything through Jesus Christ. All
glory and power belong to Him forever and ever. Amen.
As we are growing in the
understanding of whom we are. Believing God when He says we are perfect, a
special treasure that is worth Him giving everything He has for us. We start to
lay down the lies that we have no value and no worth. We have never lost the
value and worth God gives us, regardless of our past. For many of us this is
the hardest to accept because we know what we have done. (So does our God)
Our God does not value life as the
world does. He values life from His point of view as the originator of all
life. When we can get past the bad definitions that hold us in bondage to our
past we are at a beginning, again. This seems to be a continuous process as we
learn more about ourselves and our God. Our behavior does not affect our value. It does effect our impact as a witness and our ability to truly advance God’s kingdom in the earth
today
Isaiah
11:1-3 (NASB)
Then a shoot
will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear
fruit. The Spirit of
the LORD will rest on Him, The Spirit of
Wisdom and Understanding, The Spirit of
Counsel and Power, The Spirit of
Knowledge and the Fear of the LORD. And he will
delight in the fear of the LORD And he will not
judge by what his eyes see, Nor make a
decision by what his ears hear.
These verses represent the seven
Spirits of the Holy Spirit. This is the same Holy Spirit that lives within all
of us who believe Jesus is who He says He is, calling Him Lord. It is with this understanding
that we can claim without reservation, “It is good to be me!” We have total
access to “God with us” overcoming in every area of life as God leads us. The
ongoing revelation of God in all three persons and the purpose and part we have
in the divine plan of reconciliation, is it any wonder the world doesn’t get
us?
