I am more than
able because I am made complete in Christ.
See to it
that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception,
according to the traditions of men, according to the elementary principles
of this world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness
of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and
He is the head over all rule and authority;
And in Him
you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the
removal of the body of flesh by the
circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which
you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised
Him from the dead.
I am God’s
saved only by His grace,
not by my works.
But God, being
rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we
were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace
you have been saved), and raised up with Him in the heavenly places in Christ
Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His
grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
God is replacing my
worldly virtues with His character.
Corinthians 3:15-18 (NASB)
But to this day
whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a person
turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and
wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
My chains of bondage
are broken. I am no longer a slave.
I have been set free
to be who God made me to be.
So Jesus was
saying to those Jews who had believed Him,"If
you continue in my Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will
know the truth, and the truth will set you free."They answered
Him, "We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to
anyone; how is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”
them,"Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone
who commits sin is the slave of sin.
I share the DNA of
Jesus. I am now of royal descent, a prince and heir.
Romans 8:14-17 (NASB)
“For all who are being led by the
Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of
slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption by
which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!’ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit
that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and
fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be
